Aimersoft M4V Converter is a video converter for Windows. It accepts only a few video formats as input. Of course, M4V is supported, but so are a few other formats, most of them audio formats. The application supports a lot of output formats and it has conversion profiles with preloaded conversion settings for a lot of devices, including the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, AppleTV, BlackBerry phones, Android phones, and standard video formats like MOV, WMV, MP4, TS, AVI, among others.

When you install the application, you will notice that it installs a device driver, which makes the installation process a bit longer. That driver is used to remove DRM copy protection from all the files that are accepted as input by this application. In other words, if you have a copy-protected file, after you convert it with this tool, you will be able to copy it and move it freely, on any device.

I tested this application by converting an M4V file that I downloaded from iTunes. I am not sure whether it was copy-protected or not. It was a podcast that I downloaded. I converted it to MOV and the file played well on QuickTime.
